Configuring interlock settings

2024-04-16Last updated

You can configure the interlock settings on the Unit-wide parameters subpage of the Powered by Genetec page.

What you should know

An interlock (also known as sally port or airlock) is an access restriction placed on a secured area that permits only one perimeter door to be open at any given time. All perimeter doors within a secured area must be managed by the same Axis Powered by Genetec unit to ensure proper interlock functionality.

Procedure

  1. In the Powered by Genetec page, click the Unit-wide parameters tab.
  2. In the Interlock configuration section, configure the following:
Powered by Genetec page - Unit-wide parameters - Interlock configuration section.
    Single door unlock
Only unlock one door at any given time.
    Single door open
The moment one door is open, immediately lock all other doors.
Operators can unlock doors regardless of interlock state
Enable manual unlocking of doors using the Unlock button in the Door widget, even when the doors are locked due to interlock. You can apply this setting with either of the interlock options: Single door unlock or Single door open.

To configure this feature, you must set it up for each Axis Powered by Genetec unit that manages doors configured in an interlock. Keep in mind that modifying this setting needs a software restart.

  3. Click Apply.
