  Synergis™ Softwire app is the firmware for Axis Powered by Genetec devices. Synergis Softwire app must be installed with AXIS OS, called the platform, on every Axis Powered by Genetec device.

  You can upgrade Axis Powered by Genetec units to the latest versions of the Synergis™ Softwire app and Axis firmware using the Config Tool or the unit's web portal.

Documentation changes

All guides: We no longer duplicate the product compatibility information in all guides. For all recommended firmware and compatibility information, we now link to the Product compatibility for access control topic on the Genetec TechDoc Hub.
Axis Powered by Genetec Release Notes for A1610: We no longer create a new release notes for each firmware version released. Release notes are now cumulative. Each released version has its own "What's new" section.
